Hoover AL One of the fastest growing cities in the U.S., Hoover was incorporated in 1967. It is the largest suburb of Birmingham and covers a great deal of territory in the southern part of the Birmingham metro area. Hoover has a large variety of communities including many newer planned communities with lakes, walking trails and parks, and also older neighborhoods. Hoover’s variety has something for every discriminating homebuyer. The school system in Hoover is well respected and was even popularized on the MTV show “Two a Days.” Hoover is convenient to shopping including a variety of stores along Highway 280, Lee Branch, Patton Creek, and one of the Southeast’s largest indoor mall-The Riverchase Galleria.
